After the runway was extended and more development work was done, the airport opened to international traffic and began a 24-hour operation. Transport Information

Public transport from Ibiza airport into town is very limited. You can take a bus or take a taxi. The latter is usually chosen for convenience, although it is far more expensive. A taxi ride from the airport usually takes 15 minutes to reach the town and costs around 35 euros. The bus costs 3.5 euros though travel time is longer. Take note that bus schedules vary depending on the month of the year, so you have to enquire at the bus station. A third option would be to rent a car, which is very convenient especially if you're in the island for a few days. This will allow you to appreciate the island’s beauty at your own pace and even explore the surrounding towns.
